12medjool datespitted; approx. 1⅓ cups packed or 260g total
3tbspalmond butterapprox. 68g
2tbspslivered almondsapprox. 57g
1cupdark chocolatemelted; approx. 150g
⅛tspsea salt flakesoptional; or to taste
Instructions
Line a baking sheet or flat cutting board with parchment paper.
Slice each date lengthwise and open them like a book (butterfly-style).
Arrange the dates cut-side down on the parchment paper, overlapping slightly, and press firmly to form a flat rectangle.
Spread almond butter evenly over the dates.
Sprinkle slivered almonds on top.
Pour the melted dark chocolate over the surface and use a spatula to spread it evenly.
Sprinkle with sea salt flakes, if using.
Freeze for 10–15 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
Break or cut into bite-sized pieces.
