Ingredients
14ozextra firm tofuapprox. 400g; 1 standard block
2tbspsoy sauceapprox. 30ml
1tspvegetable oilapprox. 5ml
1tbspcornstarchapprox. 8g
1tspsmoked paprika
1tspgarlic powder
1tspdried thyme
½tspsaltapprox. 3g
¼tspblack pepperfreshly cracked
Instructions
Wrap tofu in a clean tea towel or paper towels. Place a heavy object (such as a cast-iron skillet or plate) on top and press for 10 minutes to remove moisture.
Cut tofu into bite-size cubes. Place cubes in a medium bowl, add soy sauce and vegetable oil, and gently toss to coat. Allow to marinate for about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle cornstarch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper onto the tofu cubes. Toss gently until evenly coated.
Arrange tofu cubes in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, leaving space between pieces for maximum crispiness. Cook at 390°F for 10 minutes total, shaking the basket after 5 minutes.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or condiment. Sriracha mayo recommended!
